Dr. Angelos Vilos

Dr. Angelos Vilos is a Fertility Specialist and Associate Professor in the division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University.

Dr. Vilos completed a four-year honors degree in Biochemistry (2002) at Western University, followed by a 4 year Medical degree (MD) at Meharry Medical College, Nashville Tennessee (2007). He completed his Fellowship of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics and Gynecology (FRCSC, 2012) and his Post-graduate Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (2014) at Western University. He Joined the faculty of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2014.

One of only a handful of Laser Certified Laparoscopic surgeons in Southwestern Ontario.

Dr. Vilos has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers and abstracts and has presented over 30 presentations at National and International Conferences. He has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants for his research projects.
Dr. Vilos is the Fellowship director for the GREI fellowship program at Western and the medical director of the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU).

Dr. Vilos is a member of several national and international Societies dedicated to the enhancement of Women’s health and reproduction. He is an ad-hoc reviewer for the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology (JMIG) and on several advisory boards. His clinical and research interests include Assisted Reproductive Technologies, recurrent miscarriage, enhancing minimally invasive surgical techniques for uterine fibroids, septum and adhesions, tubal factor infertility, abnormal uterine bleeding, and endometriosis.
